Accounting Manager

- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Analyze monthly results and explain key variances
- Manage the general ledger and oversee the month-end close process
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including payables and receivables
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
- Support audits and work closely with external auditors
- Maintain strong internal controls and improve processes where needed
- Lead and develop a small accounting team
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury activities
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and reporting
- Assist with reporting packages and ongoing process improvementsQualifications
- 6-8 years of accounting experience, CPA Track/CPA preferred
- Supervisory/management experience for at least a year
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel (advanced), Power Query, or other automation platforms; exposure to Python or Alteryx is a plus.
- Experience with Yardi/MRI preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment.
- Self motivated and curious, with a desire to grow both accounting and technical skill sets.
