Compensation:

Pay Rate: $460,387.20 - $662,979.20 Annually

Job Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for pediatric patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage post-anesthesia recovery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and emergency response procedures.
• Utilize appropriate equipment, supplies, and clinical practices for pediatric and adult patient care as needed.
• Support departmental goals, policies, and procedures while promoting high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school of medicine.
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.
• Completion of a one-year Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience in pediatric anesthesiology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid State of Nevada medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• State of Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications.
• DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
• Some positions may require:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA).
