Key Responsibilities\n

• Implement therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), continually adapting strategies based on client progress.

• Continuously monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed, maintaining accurate progress notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for integrated patient care.

• Stay informed about emerging research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance clinical expertise.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, including case consultations and team meetings, to promote continuous learning and improvement.

• Advocate for clients, particularly marginalized populations such as the homeless and domestic abuse victims, ensuring their access to necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who experience various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also be working with vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will entail understanding these clients’ unique backgrounds and challenges, tailoring your therapeutic approach to effectively address their diverse needs.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or an equivalent field.
