Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing field service and construction-focused organization. This individual will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on bookkeeping experience in a project-based environment and be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with leadership and operations teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced bookkeeper during a planned transition period, ensuring a smooth transfer of knowledge and responsibilities. The successful candidate will also assist with ongoing system and process improvements while providing occasional administrative support as needed. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Process vendor invoices, customer payments, and account reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records and general bookkeeping functions. Track and monitor project/job costs to ensure accurate reporting and profitability analysis. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare and distribute financial reports as requested by leadership. Maintain organized accounting and financial documentation. Support payroll-related processes as needed. Assist with system transitions, process improvements, and accounting workflow updates. Provide occasional administrative support, including answering phones and handling light receptionist duties. Experience in the construction, field service, maintenance, or related industry. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
