Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations via telehealth, utilizing digital tools to document information accurately and effectively.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest best practices in psychotherapy for diverse populations.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions in a virtual environment, encouraging engagement while addressing key therapeutic goals.
\n
• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and manage referrals as required.

• Provide ongoing communication with psychiatrists and other specialists for clients requiring additional support, particularly those admitted to hospitals.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers to help them manage behavioral challenges and reinforce recovery strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base includes individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work with clients of different ages and backgrounds, offering tailored therapeutic approaches that empower them to work through their difficulties and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a telehealth environment with strong proficiency in virtual communication tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that facilitate clear and empathetic interactions with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor or therapist, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical practice.

• Experience in handling various mental health conditions, including chronic physical health issues and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information and documentation.
