Peninsula Insurance is a locally owned, growing independent insurance agency with access to a wide range of insurance companies and coverage options. Our mission is simple: provide honest advice, exceptional service, and insurance solutions tailored to each clients needs.
Were looking for an experienced, licensed Personal Lines Account Manager who enjoys helping clients, collaborating with teammates, and taking ownership of their work.
This is a relationship-focused service position where you'll become a trusted resource for our clients throughout their insurance journey.
We offer a hybrid work environment because we're focused on finding great people, not where they sit. The amount of in-office and remote work will depend on your experience, training needs, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities- Answer client questions about their policies and coverage
- Review policies and explain coverage options in plain language
- Assist clients with policy changes and endorsements
- Help retain existing clients by reviewing coverage and identifying solutions
- Assist clients with billing questions and help them report and navigate claims
- Communicate with insurance companies on behalf of our clients
- Support our sales team by providing exceptional ongoing service
- Build lasting client relationships through proactive, thoughtful communication
- Document client conversations and policy activity accurately
- Take ownership of client issues and follow through until they are resolved
- Active Michigan Property & Casualty license
- 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage a busy workload
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable learning and using multiple technology systems
- Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and solving problems
Experience working in a captive insurance agency, such as State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, American Family, or a similar agency, is welcome.
