Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish the severity and impact of mood disorders, including symptoms of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, to inform treatment strategies.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals, life situations, and preferences, adapting these plans as needed throughout the therapeutic process.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address and treat mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on understanding mood disorders, treatment options available, and effective self-care strategies to improve overall mental health.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving needs and assessing the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care through integrated mental health and pharmacological interventions.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments in mental health treatment to continually enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.

• Document all client interactions thoroughly and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards to maintain transparency and trust.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to advance your clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in mood disorder treatment.

• Actively advocate for your clients, promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and ensuring their voices are heard in shaping their treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will help clients navigate challenges associated with their mental health, fostering resilience and personal growth throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMFT, LMFT, or LCPC in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate with medical professionals regarding medication management.
\n
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with a diverse clientele and foster an inviting therapeutic environment.
