Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in Orthopedic Trauma and Total Joint Replacement to provide comprehensive patient care. This role involves night shifts and requires adherence to specific compliance and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans for orthopedic trauma and joint replacement cases.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Monitor patient progress, identify complications, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid state-specific nursing license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement nursing.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred.
• Proven ability to work night shifts, with flexibility to cover 12-hour shifts.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Strong charting skills, familiarity with Epic is a plus.
