What You'll Do

• Provide OB/GYN patient care including routine vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and management of complicated births
• Make clinical decisions for deliveries including breech, multiple births, and emergency situations
• Perform repair of third & fourth-degree lacerations
• Collaborate with midwives and hospital staff to deliver high-quality care
• Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR system
• Participate in on-call duties, providing urgent care and decision-making for inpatient obstetric cases
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and EMTALA requirements

What You Need

• Active state medical license in Kentucky
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• At least 2 years of OB/GYN experience, including deliveries and C-sections
• Skilled in managing complicated deliveries and emergency obstetric cases
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment

Join a busy, hospital-based inpatient OB/GYN practice with approximately 700-800 deliveries annually. The unit provides Level II nursery support, onsite labs, and Ultrasound imaging. Midwives will handle call and delivery for their own patients, providing a collaborative environment for experienced OB/GYN providers.
