Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to gauge the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, ensuring that they align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address client issues.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Continuously track and assess client progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and address all aspects of client health.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic interventions provided to clients.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to refine skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients in various capacities, including addressing social stigma surrounding mental health and fulfilling their specific needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as an LMFT will center on supporting individuals impacted by various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will work with a diverse clientele, which may include particularly vulnerable groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your expertise and empathy will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their challenges and develop healthier coping strategies.
