Experienced Family Law Litigation Paralegal

We are a growing law practice searching for a paralegal with extensive expertise in all parts of law who can hit the ground running as we construct our ideal team. You will be a member of a dynamic and developing team. Applicants should be experienced, well-organized professionals who can work alone and with little supervision. Because this is a full-time position, you must work in the office for 40 hours a week. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, and there is the possibility of receiving bonus compensation for exceptional achievement. Characteristics Detail-oriented, to keep track of key dates and avoid costly mistakes Self-starter, with the ability to independently seek out new projects Team-oriented, with the flexibility to thrive in a growing law firm Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks so we never miss a deadline Responsibilities: • Organize legal research in support of motions, hearings, and other legal matters • Store case files and additional important information neatly arranged and immediately accessible • Read financial statements and prepare financial disclosures • Analyze and maintain an organizational system for discovery and records • Meet with customers to guarantee excellent service, address basic procedural questions regarding their case, and obtain information about their legal issues Qualifications: • Previous experience as a paralegal working with clients and attorneys on [[types of cases]] • Some knowledge and understanding of working with standard office equipment: scanner, copier, printer • Must agree to complete a 20-question written interview that tests knowledge, skills, qualifications, habits, and behaviors (including attention to detail, communication skills, and technical legal knowledge) to be considered for this position • Must have excellent time-management skills, and organizational skills • Experience with standard office management software: internet, email, word processing, case management, time & billing, legal research, document management If the following statements appeal to you, then you may be our Paralegal: 4+ years of experience in the Family Law field.
