Salary: $68,000

Building Blocks Learning Center is seeking a strong and experienced Managing Director to lead one of our early learning campuses. This role serves as the senior leader of the school, responsible for daily operations, team leadership, enrollment growth, compliance, and the overall experience for children and families.

The Managing Director leads the school as a high-performing organization while maintaining the highest standards in safety, education, professionalism, and service.

This is a leadership role for someone who is organized, decisive, and passionate about building strong teams and successful programs.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead the daily operations of the school
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and ratios
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
• Monitor operational performance and report to leadership

Enrollment & Family Experience

• Lead tours and enrollment growth
• Ensure strong communication with families
• Address concerns quickly and professionally
• Maintain excellent family satisfaction

Team Leadership

• Recruit, interview, and develop staff
• Conduct classroom observations and coaching
• Lead team meetings and build a positive culture
• Hold staff accountable to performance expectations

Compliance & Licensing

• Ensure full compliance with DHS licensing and Keystone STARS standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Conduct internal audits to prevent violations

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Business, or related field preferred
• Minimum5 years leadership experiencein childcare, education, or a related management role
• Experience managing teams of 10+ and daily operations within the last year
• Knowledge of DHS licensing and Keystone STARS standards preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
