Work Environment\n

This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing work-life balance while maintaining an active role in patient care. Although the majority of work will occur from home, you will collaborate closely with other mental health professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for your patients. Our regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial patient evaluations to assess mental health needs, crafting detailed and tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering progress.

• Engage in ongoing dialogue with patients, providing a safe space to discuss their concerns and adapting treatment approaches based on their feedback and development.

• Implement and monitor effective coping strategies and therapeutic interventions, modifying plans as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.

• Deliver educational support to both staff and patients regarding stress management, trauma responses, and effective healing methodologies.

• Coordinate with various healthcare providers, community organizations, and social services to streamline patient access to necessary resources and support.

• Regularly participate in continuing education initiatives to uphold your National Certified Counselor certification and remain apprised of the latest industry practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily engage with trauma injury patients, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions associated with physical and emotional trauma. Your role is crucial in helping individuals navigate the often-complex emotional landscape following traumatic experiences, providing them with the tools and support necessary to pursue recovery and improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of New York is essential.

• A minimum of three years of experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
