Position Overview New Hope Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Mental Health Therapist, with licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, to join our remote outpatient team in Baytown, Texas. Work Environment This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for an innovative approach to outpatient services while maintaining meaningful interactions with patients. Our office operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of our clients. This remote setting encourages a collaborative atmosphere, utilizing technology for team meetings, consultations, and case management. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, utilizing culturally relevant approaches to identify the distinctive challenges and needs of each patient. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual’s cultural and personal circumstances. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, fostering resilience and emotional well-being among patients while creating a safe space for open dialogue. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate effective care strategies. Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations, ensuring immediate assistance is available to prevent escalation. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their healing journey. Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and ongoing patient monitoring. Participate actively in case conferences and team training sessions to promote a culture of learning and cultural competency within the practice. Stay updated with the latest research and developments in mental health care, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills in therapeutic practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice is designed to meet the needs of a diverse patient population rich in cultural heritage. As a Mental Health Therapist, your role will be critical in bridging gaps and facilitating access to tailored services that respect and honor their backgrounds. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas. Profound knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment theories, and culturally responsive therapeutic approaches. Experience in providing individual and group therapy that reflects sensitivity to cultural nuances and personal life experiences. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and trust with a wide range of individuals. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and the capability to integrate technology into practice effectively. Preferred Experience Experience in a multicultural outpatient setting focusing on mental health treatment. Ongoing engagement in cultural competency training or initiatives. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
