Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to understand their mental health history and current challenges, subsequently developing tailored treatment plans based on these insights.

• Provide individualized therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to promote clients’ growth and resilience.

• Collaborate with clients to establish achievable therapeutic goals and continually monitor their progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Offer both in-person and teletherapy options, providing accessibility to clients who might face challenges in attending physical sessions.

• Maintain meticulous, up-to-date documentation of each session, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards while protecting client confidentiality.

• Participate in regular professional development activities, including continuing education opportunities, to enhance your therapeutic skills and stay informed on emerging mental health practices.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in New York State.

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach, encouraging clients to explore their emotions and experiences freely.

Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and demonstrated success in treating diverse client populations will be valuable.
