Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Personal Touch Physical Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough initial evaluations of patients, using standardized assessment tools to determine their physical health and rehabilitation needs.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique goals, whether it's improving mobility, reducing pain, or enhancing overall function.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Educating and empowering patients by teaching them proper techniques for injury prevention, effective mobility strategies, and self-care practices to support their long-term health goals.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient progress, updating treatment plans regularly, and communicating with patients about their journey towards recovery.
• Collaborating actively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other health care providers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will encounter a variety of ages and backgrounds, allowing you to apply your skills in treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your ability to adapt your treatment approach to suit different patients will greatly enhance their recovery experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care and fostering strong therapeutic relationships with patients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an outpatient setting or a desire to work closely in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
