Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge Verification in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor access points, verify badges, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally, and provide welcoming customer service. DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:30 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:30 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
- Complete clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
