Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need proven hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in production environments.
• We require advanced Java expertise for enterprise backend development, along with strong practical experience building services with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.
• We need hands-on experience designing, building, and operating integrations with messaging and/or event streaming services such as Kafka, AWS MSK, SQS/SNS, or Kinesis, including dependable delivery patterns, error handling, and production observability.
• We require practical cloud-native experience, with AWS as the target platform, including building, deploying, and operating services in a cloud environment.
• We need demonstrated experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• We need the ability to solve design and functionality challenges independently with little to no oversight.
• Preferred: experience with reactive programming such as Reactor and familiarity with event-driven, messaging, and streaming systems.
• Preferred: financial services, wealth, or alternatives domain experience.

• We influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• We serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• We actively contribute to our engineering community by advocating firmwide Software Development Life Cycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
• We build and modernize platforms that support alternative investments and the teams that service them.
• We help re-platform critical applications from on-premises environments to AWS and deliver cloud-native services with strong engineering discipline across design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• We shape distributed integration patterns, including messaging and event streaming, to improve resiliency, scalability, and observability.
