Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Emergency Room provides essential direct patient care, supporting the healthcare team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control policies.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including personal hygiene assistance and participation in care planning.
• Administer medications, treatments, and respiratory therapies accurately and record all interventions.
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and document observations in accordance with clinical standards.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and stressful situations, following established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans, discharge instructions, and health management.
• Support orientation and ongoing training of new staff and students to maintain clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program with current license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Proven ability to provide safe, effective nursing care following the nursing process.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including patience, tact, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
