Purpose of Position:
The Accounting is responsible for providing support to the accounting department including processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information in compliance with established policies; providing instructions, recommendations and/or accounting support to other personnel.
Essential Functions:

1. Handle all invoicing/billing Track Accounts Receivable
   • Communicate with client Accounts Payable if necessary
2. Assist in performing general ledger accounting functions, as assigned and/or approved by the CFO, for the 
   purpose of ensuring that the department functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner during 
   short periods of need.
3. Compile financial information related to work assignments for the purpose of producing project budget 
   reports on a monthly basis.
4. Inform other staff regarding procedural requirements for the purpose of facilitating financial compliance 
   within established practices.
5. Maintain financial information, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation 
   and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
6. Reconcile a wide variety of financial data for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and 
   ensuring compliance with established accounting practices.
7. Research discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation.
8. Respond to employee inquires in relation to payroll and/or expense reports.
9. Oversee expense check distribution 
10. Take on super-user role for Accounting Software package (Deltek Ajera)
11. Issue and track purchase orders
    • Categorize costs accurately
    • Classify cost by account number 
12. Oversees all employee time entries and prepare payroll package for review by CFO.

Physical Demands of Position: 
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk, use hands and
fingers. Position may require repetitive arm, hand, finger, and wrist motion to operate a variety of office
equipment. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and/or carry up
to 10 pounds.

Environmental/Working Conditions:
Works in a typical administrative setting with a moderate temperature and appropriate lighting.

Telephone, printer/copier, fax machine, personal computer with peripherals, calculator

Job Specifications

1. AS in Accounting or related field 
2. 2. 2 – 5 Years Experience
3. 3. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. 4. Requires proficiency in Ajera and Microsoft Office Suite
5. 5. Must have knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation, monitoring, and controlling.
6. 6. Must be familiar with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure firm 
7. compliance.
