This position offers the flexibility of a telehealth work facility, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home in Galveston, Texas. You will be working with a team that values work-life balance, with hours set during normal business days from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and nature of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their specific goals, preferences, and life circumstances.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to address mood disorders while tracking client progress.

• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to optimize care based on ongoing client feedback and clinical guidelines.

• Offer education and support to clients and their family members regarding mood disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and resources for enhancing mental well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multi-faceted approach to client care, enhancing treatment outcomes through integrated services.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards required for mental health services.

• Engage in continuous professional development through team meetings, case consultations, and access to training opportunities to enhance your clinical skills.

• Act as an advocate for clients, working to destigmatize mental health issues and promote access to necessary services and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This work will often involve diverse populations, and you will tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the unique cultural, social, and personal circumstances of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• Proficient in evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to foster effective communication and collaboration with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Demonstrated success and positive outcomes in the therapeutic treatment of mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within a telehealth environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and digital communication tools will be advantageous for efficient client management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
