Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Morton Comprehensive Health, you will:

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and cultivating positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions with clients to discuss their progress, stability, upcoming appointments, and discharge planning when appropriate.

• Develop, implement, and continuously monitor personalized treatment plans that address each client’s unique needs and goals.

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation and progress notes for each client, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and best practices.

• Conduct initial intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and recommend appropriate treatment options.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's circumstances.

• Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and professional development.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily involves working with youth and young adults, addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in mental health or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of one year of experience in working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals dealing with substance abuse issues.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in youth counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy modalities is also advantageous, given the current emphasis on remote service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
