Work Environment

This position requires working onsite at our modern surgical center, which is designed to foster a collaborative atmosphere among medical practitioners. Our facility operates in a fast-paced environment typical of urgent care, where you will interact closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare personnel. The schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, with working hours generally starting at 5:00 PM, ensuring you maintain a work-life balance while contributing meaningfully to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including taking patient histories and performing physical examinations to assess health conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies, to aid in accurate decision-making.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute medical conditions, from minor injuries to more complex illnesses.
• Formulate and implement effective treatment plans tailored for chronic disease management, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe medications responsibly and monitor the efficacy of treatments, adjusting as necessary for patient well-being.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized records for patient encounters, documenting care plans and patient progress accurately.
• Engage in patient education, empowering individuals and their families with knowledge on disease prevention and management strategies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to evaluate and enhance the efficacy of ongoing treatment regimens.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in medical protocols, continuing education, and clinical practices to further enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve a diverse patient population, ranging from adults to children experiencing urgent health needs. You will be at the forefront of addressing common and complex medical issues, ensuring every patient receives personalized attention and care. The center's focus on accessibility and timely healthcare means you will frequently engage with patients who prioritize quick, effective treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A current and valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of Florida.
• A valid DEA registration number, allowing for prescription of medications.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Strong commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving health outcomes.
• Proficiency in managing patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care, emergency room, or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with urgent care protocols and best practices.
• Bilingual proficiency is a strong asset but not required.
• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred to enhance patient care competency.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
