Work Environment

Our clinic operates onsite within a collaborative hospital setting, allowing for seamless integration with various departments and specialists. As a full-time team member, you will have the opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while being highly engaged with our patient population throughout the weekdays. Upon completion of a structured training program with our dermatologist, your schedule may adapt to meet the needs of our clinic and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and document thorough medical histories of patients with skin conditions.
• Collaborate closely with dermatologists to diagnose, treat, and manage various skin diseases, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to suturing and skin biopsies, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients on skincare routines, preventive measures, and treatment options, fostering a better understanding of their dermatological health.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate based on the treatment plan established in collaboration with the supervising dermatologist.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures to inform clinical decision-making and enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires treating a diverse patient demographic, including individuals of all ages presenting with various dermatological issues. Our clinic specializes in both acute and chronic skin conditions, providing the Physician Assistant with a broad scope of practice and the satisfaction of impacting the lives of patients seeking dermatological help.

Qualifications

• Current and active Physician Assistant Certification is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant is required, preferably with a focus on dermatology.
• Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with at least 2+ years of experience utilizing these systems effectively.
• Must demonstrate a willingness to engage in a training program from Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM under the supervision of the Dermatologist.

Preferred Experience

• We strongly prefer candidates with prior dermatology experience, allowing for a quicker transition into our practice.
• Ability to perform a wide range of dermatological procedures and understand the nuances of patient care in a dermatology setting will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
