Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Virginia nursing license pending accepted Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred, not required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Cross posting for clinical review and auto offer. The unit has 17 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. It receives patients from various sources including emergency departments and medical ICUs. The patient population includes a wide range of medical diagnoses such as diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drapes, tubes, and more. The shift requires working nights with the possibility of 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Time off requests are limited to 40 hours and cannot include Labor Day. Candidates must adhere to float policies and can submit with a pending Virginia license. Our focus is on maintaining high-quality patient care while supporting team members' growth and competence. We emphasize teamwork and communication among interdisciplinary providers. Continuous process improvements are employed to enhance the quality of patient care. Team members actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss care plans and quality issues. Support is provided for ongoing education and professional development. Candidates can expect a diverse range of medical patients and disease processes. Experience involves various medical treatments and medication regimens, alongside the development of strong assessment skills.
