Computer Operator 2 Data Center / NOC Operations

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)



Duration: 9+ months, with potential for extension or full-time conversion



Interview: Webcam or in-person Work Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

• Additional 16 hours during the week, available on first, second, or third shift.

• Onsite availability and weekend overnight work are required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Computer Operator to monitor and support data center operations, transaction processing, network connectivity, and critical infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate has experience in a large data center, Network Operations Center (NOC), production control, and server operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor BPE/TPE transactions and related production processing activities.

• Monitor data center environmental, security, electrical, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.

• Check network systems to ensure connectivity and service availability.

• Coordinate with vendors on hardware and software issues.

• Ensure printed output is accurate, complete, and free of defects.

• Support day-to-day computer operations and production control activities.

• Monitor distributed server environments running AIX, Linux, and Windows.

• Help identify and escalate operational, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.

• Follow established operational procedures and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

• Vocational or technical degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant IT experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in computer operations within a large data center.

• Experience with Network Operations Center (NOC) operations.

• Experience with production control and automated job scheduling.

• Experience with Control-M and TPE/BPE Manager.

• Familiarity with data center security, HVAC, electrical systems, generators, and UPS.

• Experience supporting distributed servers running AIX, Linux, and Windows.

• Knowledge of network systems and infrastructure monitoring.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and work in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience in enterprise data center operations.

• Experience with NOC monitoring and production control.

• Familiarity with data center environmental and security systems.

• Experience with Control-M, TPE/BPE Manager, and distributed server environments.
