What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care on a busy telemetry unit, managing patients with conditions like CHF, COPD, and altered mental status
• Monitor patient vital signs, including cardiac rhythms—ability to read cardiac strips required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including RT, PT, and ST to deliver holistic care
• Assist in procedures such as IV initiation, wound care, and blood draws
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support unit operations including patient assessments and care coordination
• Floats across units within scope of practice, maintaining flexibility in assignments

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• 1+ years of acute care RN experience
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and relevant patient populations

• Previous telemetry experience
• Experience with chest tubes, dialysis patients, or cardiac drips
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
