Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather insights on client histories, present concerns, and goals for treatment.
• Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions using various evidence-based modalities tailored to foster growth and healing.
• Regularly monitor client progress toward established therapeutic goals and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Provide teletherapy options, ensuring accessibility for clients facing mobility or transportation challenges.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation, adhering to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in regular team meetings for case consultations and collaborative learning opportunities.
• Engage in professional development, attending workshops and trainings to enhance therapeutic skills and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health counselor at Sunshine Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. Our practice emphasizes inclusivity, offering services to individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age demographics. You will empower clients to address their mental health challenges and develop the resilience needed to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form trusting therapeutic relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• A solid understanding of therapeutic modalities and an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to client care.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseloads and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering therapy via telehealth platforms, with a strong comfort level in utilizing technology for client sessions.
• Prior experience working with specific populations or issues relevant to our client demographic.
• Familiarity with billing processes and insurance requirements in an outpatient mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits
