Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental health status from the initial consultation through ongoing treatment.

• Evaluate and assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using industry-standard diagnostic tools.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing unique mental health challenges.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to express their feelings and experiences.

• Monitor and track client progress throughout the duration of the treatment plan, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure engagement and effectiveness.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including social workers, psychiatrists, and primary care physicians, to integrate comprehensive care plans.

• Follow up with relevant healthcare providers regarding clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care during transitions.

• Identify risk factors and behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing proactive strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by offering guidance on managing mental and behavioral challenges associated with diagnosis.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, showcasing effective client rapport and treatment outcomes.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and client management.

• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, including mental health issues and substance use challenges, enabling a holistic approach to care.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong assessment skills regarding pharmacology and the impact of prescribed medications on mental health.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, alongside a generous sign-on bonus upon hiring.
