Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Saber Rehabilitation, you will work in an onsite home care setting, allowing you to develop close relationships with your patients and their families. You'll travel to clients' homes throughout the Woodbridge area, giving you a unique opportunity to assess their living environments and create personalized treatment plans that address specific challenges. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will involve:

• Formulating and executing a comprehensive physical therapy treatment plan to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, prevent disabilities, and restore function.
• Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure they implement treatment protocols effectively.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Assessing and modifying patients' home environments to optimize independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administering specialized therapeutic exercises and patient education on their overall rehabilitation journey, including the use of home therapy devices.
• Documenting clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, while adhering to OASIS standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop holistic treatment strategies.
• Maintaining compliance with clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, stroke survivors, and those with chronic pain conditions. Your role is crucial in helping clients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through rehabilitation in the comfort of their own homes. Your ability to create trusting relationships with both patients and their families will be essential in guiding their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in good standing within Virginia.
• A current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and families.

Preferred Experience

While we require a minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, candidates with experience in home care or acute care settings will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
