Work Environment

You will work onsite in our modern outpatient office, designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. The clinic is fully equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment, ensuring effective delivery of care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will engage with Physical Therapy Assistants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient experiences. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, allowing for a predictable schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct personalized physical therapy treatment plans that focus on alleviating pain, enhancing muscle function, and maximizing patient capabilities in accordance with established care protocols.
• Oversee the implementation of treatment plans executed by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to therapeutic protocols and patient safety.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical functioning through diagnostic tests, focusing on muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Analyze home environments to assess conditions for rehabilitation and provide recommendations that promote patient independence.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, traction, and therapeutic exercises, and educate clients on functional activities that enhance their rehabilitation.
• Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team, contributing to discussions on patient care and progress during case conferences.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes, maintaining comprehensive patient records.
• Instruct patients and their families on care regimens, helping them understand the use of therapeutic devices.
• Stay available to Physical Therapy Assistants during patient treatments to offer guidance and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient base primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. As such, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, tailoring interventions to suit the specific rehabilitation needs of each client. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that patients regain their mobility and improve their function, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients and caregivers.
• Competence in electronic health record systems and basic computer skills for documentation purposes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, preferably with a focus on post-operative rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities, and a passion for continuing education.
• Leadership qualities, with an ability to mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
