Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, ensuring each client receives personalized care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Stay current with the latest mood disorder research and therapeutic advancements to enhance treatment effectiveness and client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring each client's privacy and trust.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adults facing a variety of mood-related disorders, including anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. Many clients may be dealing with the impacts of past trauma or seeking help for substance use issues. You will be instrumental in guiding them toward stability and recovery, providing a safe space for exploration and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a capacity for effective therapy delivery.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients.
• Empathetic, nonjudgmental attitude and active listening abilities that resonate with clients' experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for effective workload management and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

While at least 2 years of experience is required, we highly value candidates with additional training in specialized therapeutic modalities or experience working with complex family dynamics. Familiarity with community resources and support systems will be an asset in guiding clients effectively.

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
