The Line Cook

The Line Cook is a key member of our kitchen team at The Hart and The Hunter, prepping, cooking, plating, and keeping their station guest-ready throughout service. You'll bring consistency and care to every dish while keeping pace with a fast-moving kitchen.

The task at hand:

• Set up your station and work through your daily prep list, prepping ingredients to portion and recipe specs.
• Cook and plate with technique and consistency, staying open to learning new recipes and skills as the menu evolves.
• Keep your station and all food storage areas clean, organized, and up to health and safety standards, including opening, closing, and extra cleaning duties as needed.
• Support your teammates wherever needed, covering stations, delivering prepped items to the line, and pitching in to keep service moving.
• Bring a steady, positive attitude that keeps pace with a demanding kitchen during service rushes.

What we're looking for:

Required

• 1-2 years of line cook experience in a high-quality full-service or fast-casual kitchen.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and keep service moving at a steady, comfortable clip.
• Collaborative team player who's happy to pitch in and pivot quickly, comfortable across casual morning shifts and fast-paced dinner hours alike.
• Basic math and critical-thinking skills to follow prep work and recipes.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical

• Ability to safely work an 8-hour shift, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
