Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health and substance use concerns, focusing on the diagnosis of co-occurring disorders.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions suitable for their specific mental health and substance use needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at building coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and effective emotional regulation techniques.
\n
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists—to coordinate holistic and integrated care solutions.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring, employing motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients throughout their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationships between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adhering to treatment plans.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and client progress, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, training, and team meetings to enhance collaborative practices and stay updated on co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will predominantly work with clients experiencing complex mental health issues and co-occurring substance use disorders. This diverse client population encompasses a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and experiences, requiring a tailored approach to care that is sensitive to individual needs and cultural contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapies designed specifically for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the interrelationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.

• Prior experience conducting assessments and providing therapy in an integrated outpatient setting.

• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use treatment modalities and co-occurring disorder strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
