Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, as you will be visiting patients in their homes across Charlottesville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and direct physical therapy treatment aimed at enhancing muscle function, alleviating pain, and promoting patient mobility according to individualized care plans established in consultation with physicians.
• Oversee and engage physical therapy assistants to ensure therapy plans are executed appropriately, providing guidance and support where necessary.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional capabilities utilizing a variety of diagnostic and prognostic tools to tailor therapy to each patient's specific needs.
• Assess patients' home environments for rehabilitation purposes, making informed recommendations that promote autonomy and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Administer routine physical therapy interventions, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, while motivating patients in their recovery processes.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, promptly reporting any changes to their condition and adjusting treatment plans as required.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing to the overall treatment strategy for each patient.
• Prepare and maintain thorough clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy programs, proper use of assistive devices, and ways to enhance care at home.
• Adapt to various patient needs and situations, completing additional tasks as requested to help achieve company objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including those recovering from surgery, experiencing chronic pain, or managing long-term disabilities. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current PT licensure in Virginia, maintaining good standing.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
