Emergency Medicine Position Overview

Join our organization at a Level III Trauma Center, where we handle approximately 35,000 patient visits annually. Our full-service hospital operates around the clock, featuring a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, as well as advanced imaging capabilities including CT and MRI. Each room is equipped with bedside ultrasound and point-of-use supplies.

We provide 42 hours of physician coverage daily and serve as a tertiary center with over 300 physicians and specialists available to ensure comprehensive in-house care. Our specialties include:

We only transfer patients out when absolutely necessary, allowing you to practice at a single site. This role also includes teaching opportunities for residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a hospital-employed position, which comes with a comprehensive benefits package valued at over $65,000. Compensation details include:

• Base Salary:
  • $471,265 annually ($251/hour) for Day Shift
  • $490,116 annually ($261.81/hour) for Night Shift
• Extra Shift Bonus:
  • $276.92/hour for Day shifts
  • $301.09/hour for Night shifts
• Recruitment Bonus: $100,000
• Moving Allowance: Up to $15,000
• Full-Time Hours: 1620 hours per year
• Annual CME Allowance: $6,000
• Employer-Paid Liability Insurance and Tail Coverage

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (must achieve certification within three years of eligibility)
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency or Fellowship
• H1B and J1 candidates are encouraged to apply
• Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic school is required
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in Iowa, including Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
• All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings
