Job Opportunity: Hematology Oncology Position

We are excited to announce an opening for a Hematology Oncology role within our vibrant outpatient practice, which is experiencing significant patient volume. This position offers a 4.5-day work week , allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

About Our Cancer Center

• Our facility is a state-of-the-art Cancer Center designed with patient comfort in mind.
• Join a collaborative team consisting of 3 Hematology Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and 3 Advanced Practice Providers.
• The Advanced Practice Provider role includes performing bone marrow biopsies and aspirate procedures, managing patients undergoing active treatment, and conducting follow-up appointments.
• A $10 million expansion and renovation was completed in 2021, enhancing our capabilities.
• We feature 24 infusion chairs and 20 examination rooms.
• Our patient load is manageable, promoting an excellent work-life balance.
• We offer survivorship and genetics programs within the center.
• There is NO CALL requirement!
• A dedicated 24/7 Hospitalist team manages most inpatient responsibilities and calls.
• Participate in weekly tumor boards with on-site specialists from various fields, including Pathology, Radiology, General Surgery, and more.
• Our support staff includes a dietitian, nurse navigators, physical therapists, clinical pharmacists, financial counselors, and tumor registrars.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary: $114,121 for 0-2 years of experience; $118,876 for 2+ years, plus production incentives.
• A starting bonus of $10,000 .

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's degree in Nursing or have completed a CAHEA-approved Physician Assistant training program.
• Successful completion of certification is required.
• Current licensure in Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant is necessary.
• Must possess an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and a Federal DEA Certificate.
• Ability to obtain staff privileges at our medical center is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial.
