Work Environment

The work setting for this position is primarily within our outpatient office facility, where you will have direct interaction with patients and the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical condition, histories, and functional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans focusing on functional improvement, pain relief, and mobility enhancement, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any adjustments necessary to the treatment plan based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and methods to improve daily function.
• Assist patients with recovery from injuries or surgeries, aiming to restore their ability to perform daily activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current in best practices and enhance your clinical expertise.

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children and adults with a wide array of physical challenges. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the dynamic needs of patients.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a physical therapy setting is advantageous but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to outpatient care and rehabilitation methodologies will be regarded favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
