The mission of the Office of Compliance’s Internal Audits Unit is to provide independent, objective analyses and consulting services designed to add value and improve CDPH’s operations. Job Description Staff Services Management Auditor (SSMA) works under the direction of the Staff Management Auditor and coordinates audits and open audit recommendations conducted by external audit agencies. Responsibilities include performing less complex audits—financial, compliance, and performance—in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and ensuring accurate, timely recommendations. Travel requirements: up to 10% travel within California, with occasional overnight stays and transportation of up to 25 pounds of equipment. The position is subject to California’s Personal Leave Program (PLP 2025) and will receive a 3% base pay reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
