Director of Business Development - Construction & Mission Critical Growth Leadership, Florida A well-established, nationally recognised construction management firm is looking for a Director of Business Development to lead growth across the Florida region. This is not a pure sales role. You'll sit at the centre of the business, helping shape market strategy, influence pursuit decisions, strengthen client relationships, and drive long-term revenue growth across one of the firm's most important regions. The business has a strong presence across healthcare, higher education, mission critical, commercial, life sciences, public sector, and complex technical projects, with a reputation built on delivering large-scale projects for repeat clients. What you'll be doing Leading business development strategy across Florida Building and expanding relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and industry partners Identifying, qualifying, and securing major project opportunities Developing capture plans and pursuit strategies for high-value opportunities Working closely with operational leadership to influence go/no-go decisions Growing and mentoring a team of business development professionals Supporting proposal, interview, and presentation strategies for key pursuits Maintaining executive-level relationships throughout the project lifecycle, not just before award Collaborating with national sector leaders to leverage opportunities across healthcare, mission critical, education, commercial, and public markets Managing sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM activity What they're looking for 10+ years of business development, client development, or sales leadership experience within construction, engineering, architecture, design-build, or related A/E/C environments Proven track record of winning major projects and developing long-term client relationships Experience leading pursuit strategy and managing complex opportunity pipelines Strong understanding of construction delivery models and contract structures Ability to operate comfortably with C-suite stakeholders and project teams Previous experience leading, coaching, or building business development teams Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen Why this opportunity stands out Leadership position with direct influence over regional growth strategy Opportunity to take ownership of Florida, one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the US Established brand with a strong backlog, repeat client base, and national resources behind it Exposure to some of the most active sectors in the market, including mission critical/data centres, healthcare, higher education, and advanced manufacturing Highly visible role working alongside senior operational and executive leadership Long-term career progression within a privately held business known for retaining and promoting its leaders #J-18808-Ljbffr LVI Associates
