Work Environment

This position is based onsite and involves direct interaction with patients in their homes. Our operational hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs and rehabilitation goals of each patient.
• Implement targeted physical therapy interventions aimed at restoring mobility, enhancing strength, and increasing flexibility.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and exercise programs to ensure optimal patient engagement and progress.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatment in accordance with professional and institutional standards.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and overall wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinate treatment strategies.
• Continuously update and refine treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in compliance with EMR protocols.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Competent in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning and implementing updated physical therapy methodologies grounded in current research.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with a background in sports rehabilitation, geriatrics, or manual therapy will be given preference. A proven track record of successfully implementing patient-centered rehabilitation programs will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Empire Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
