Duties In this position you will serve as a first line supervisor performing a full-range of supervisory functions and directing a team of management and program analysts that perform analysis on audits to ensure that CBP audit responses align with CBP and DHS goals and expert analysis and management advice on complex program issues. This position starts at a salary of $148,484.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $176,300.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $176,300.00 (GS-15 Step 10).GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. In this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include: Directing the preparation and presentation of oral briefings, and participating with subordinates in presenting audit findings to CBP executive leadership.Discussing identified programmatic issues and recommendations to improve operational effectiveness or efficiency, strengthen existing internal controls, and/or overcome impediments to the achievement of CBP objectives and goals.Ensuring the timely development of official responses to audit reports, mandating updates to audit recommendations for subordinates, ensuring that corrective action plans developed to implement audit recommendations are actionable, and providing feedback to subordinates throughout the audit process.Ensuring the timely issuance of internal and external audit and inspection reports, reviewing and providing feedback to subordinates on internal and external audit and inspection work products, including draft reports.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this positionMales born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective ServicePrimary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (additional details below)You may be required to pass a background investigationCBP follows the DHS Drug-Free Workplace Plan for drug testing procedures.As an employee of CBP, you will be joining a workforce that is dedicated to accomplishing our mission while maintaining the trust of our Nation by strictly adhering to all government ethics standards. QualificationsExperience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Directing the preparation and presentation of oral briefings, and participates with subordinates in presenting audit findingsDeveloping official responses to audit reports, updating audit recommendations, and providing feedback to subordinatesProviding expert analysis and advising on complex program issues on audit processesAdvising leadership on high profile audits and potential implications of audits and findingsNOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; andMeet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/15/2022. The duration of the training will include CBP LI five (5) weeks of in residence training in Harpers Ferry, WV.
