Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Background teaching students with visual impairments in school settings preferred
• Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptation of curriculum materials for accessibility
• Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
• Willingness to relocate and work onsite for the duration of the school year

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments
• Adapt and modify curricula, materials, and teaching strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Assess student progress and develop IEP goals
• Consult with families and other professionals to advance student success
