Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in the community. The role operates within a structured framework, ensuring that therapists are well-supported and provided with the necessary resources to deliver high-quality care. Your daily schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for regular engagement with clients and collaborative meetings with our multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for clients, meticulously evaluating their mental health and substance use histories to determine the presence of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to devise personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions, addressing both mental health and substance use issues.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions as well as group therapy to teach clients essential skills for coping, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.

• Work in conjunction with other professionals in the clinic—such as psychiatrists and addiction specialists—to coordinate comprehensive care that is seamless and holistic.

• Regularly monitor client substance use, employing motivational interviewing techniques to reinforce their commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about the intricate relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment.

• Document treatment progress and interventions accurately and promptly, in line with ethical and legal requirements.

• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in case meetings, training sessions, and relevant workshops to enhance your skills in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use challenges, providing them with compassionate, personalized care. The patients you support are often navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues, and your input will be vital in breaking the cycle of these disorders, leading to sustainable recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapy methods for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong foundation in understanding how mental health and substance use disorders interact and influence each other.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration within a diverse interdisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
