Position Overview

Beacon Health Physical Therapy is seeking dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapists (PT) to join our team in Punta Gorda, Florida. This full-time role will focus on delivering personalized care in home settings, enabling patients to recover from injuries, surgeries, or health conditions that impair their mobility. Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite, working directly in patients' homes to deliver one-on-one care. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing therapists to choose their own hours within a Monday to Friday workweek. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment, aimed at reducing pain and enhancing mobility for patients.
• Regularly document treatment sessions, progress, and patient responses to care, utilizing both electronic records and written notes to keep a clear track of each patient's journey.
• Continuously reassess and modify treatment plans to reflect patient feedback, progress, and changing needs.
• Consult and educate patients, caregivers, and family members about therapy techniques, self-care strategies, and the use of assistive devices such as walkers or wheelchairs when necessary.
• Maintain adherence to safety and healthcare regulations while fostering a therapeutic alliance with patients to encourage active participation in their own care.
• Stay current with professional developments in the field by attending workshops, reading professional literature, and engaging with local physical therapy communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will predominantly involve patients recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic conditions. Our diverse patient demographic ranges across various age groups, from children to seniors, ensuring that you will encounter a broad spectrum of cases that require creative problem-solving and personalized therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• State Licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory to practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, family members, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• An agile mindset, adaptable to the diverse needs of patients in a home setting.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience is valued, we highly encourage new graduates to apply. A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required, as we provide mentorship and guidance for all new team members.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package.
