Work Environment

This position is based on-site, providing therapeutic services primarily in the homes of our patients. This home care environment allows for tailored assessments and individualized treatment programs, giving you the unique opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on a daily basis. Your schedule will encompass Monday to Friday, with a standard 40-hour workweek, championing work-life balance while maintaining a focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Powerback, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their needs to formulate targeted treatment strategies.
• Design and implement customized rehabilitation programs that may involve a variety of specialties, including orthopedic injuries, pediatric ailments, neurologic conditions, and sports medicine injuries.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide skilled therapeutic interventions in the patient's home, ensuring each session aligns with the physician's plan of care.
• Deliver exemplary customer service and actively contribute to the overall effectiveness of our healthcare team.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers in recovery strategies, enhancing their understanding of the rehabilitation process.
• Consistently meet utilization goals and other performance metrics established by our organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. You will collaborate with patients from various age groups—pediatric to geriatric—tailoring treatment plans to align with their personal goals and functional needs. The role emphasizes an individualized approach, centered around building strong rapport and trust with each patient, ensuring they feel supported throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in word processing and computer applications.
• The ability to establish strong relationships with patients, promoting their functional recovery goals.

Preferred Experience
