Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing tailored treatment plans that address each client's unique emotional and psychological needs.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and trauma-informed approaches.

• Facilitating both individual therapy sessions and support groups, focusing on processing grief and fostering coping strategies.

• Providing crisis intervention services, including immediate emotional support in high-stress situations.

• Educating clients and their families on available psychosocial resources and coping mechanisms for managing stress and anxiety.

• Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment outcome evaluations.

• Participating in team meetings and case conferences to review client progress and contribute to treatment planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be on patients and families dealing with end-of-life issues, including those facing terminal illnesses such as cancer and advanced heart disease. Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
