Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required); please ensure your resume and certification are provided for consideration
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, especially with elementary students and developmental/cognitive delay (DCD) needs
• In-depth knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and supportive communication
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to professional standards, confidentiality, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and guidance for elementary students in a DCD Centerbase classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment where students feel engaged and supported
• Collect data and maintain accurate records for progress monitoring and compliance
• Employ evidence-based practices and positive behavior support strategies
