Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist - Joliet, IL

Pfizer seeks a field-based specialty sales professional to drive gastroenterology product launch and growth through strategic healthcare provider engagement, disease-state education, and patient access support across a multi-state territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer engagement and sales performance through strategic in-person interactions with healthcare providers
• Build compliant relationships with clinicians and office staff to support product adoption and appropriate use
• Deliver approved promotional and disease-state messaging aligned with evidence-based treatment decisions
• Support patient access by providing reimbursement information, hub resources, and cost assistance details
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key opinion leaders to advance business objectives and care pathways

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or associate's with 8+ years work experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years
• Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales, marketing, or healthcare provider experience
• Valid US driver's license with clean driving record; no DUI/DWI within past 7 years
• Ability to reside within workable distance of assigned territory and travel as needed
• 3–5 years specialty sales experience, preferably in gastroenterology, immunology, or inflammation (preferred)
• Understanding of complex disease states, biologics, specialty reimbursement, and distribution processes (preferred)
• Digital engagement capability and comfort with hybrid selling models (preferred)

Compensation: $108,600–$250,700 base salary, plus sales incentive bonus
