Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist - Buffalo, NY

Pfizer seeks a field-based gastroenterology specialist to drive product launches and growth through strategic relationships with healthcare providers. The role combines sales execution, disease-state expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to expand patient access to GI therapies across assigned territories in upstate New York.

Responsibilities

• Drive in-person customer engagement and sales performance across assigned gastroenterology accounts
• Build compliant relationships with healthcare providers and office staff; deliver approved promotional messaging
• Identify market opportunities and prioritize accounts using product and disease-state expertise
• Support patient access by providing reimbursement information, hubs, and co-pay resources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and optimize territory activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or associate's with 8+ years experience or high school diploma with 10+ years experience
• Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales, marketing, or aligned healthcare experience
• Valid US driver's license with clean driving record; no DUI/DWI within past 7 years
• Ability to reside within workable distance of assigned territory and travel to all account locations
• Preferred: 3–5 years specialty sales in gastroenterology, immunology, or inflammation
• Preferred: Knowledge of complex disease states, biologics, specialty reimbursement, and distribution
• Preferred: Digital engagement capability and experience with hybrid selling models

Compensation: $108,600–$250,700 base salary plus sales incentive bonus
